Welcome to Camino House.

Camino means pathway or journey, the most famous of which is the Camino De Santiago pilgrimage route in Spain. We invite you another kind of camino experience, one rooted in the hills of Istria and away from the crowds of more popular routes. Experience an on-foot holiday based in Croatia’s beloved medieval hilltop town…. Motovun.

Camino House is designed for travelers who want a slower, more authentic holiday.

This simple, warm, and environmentally conscious home is the ideal base for exploration - both inner and outer

Step out of the stresses of daily life and into the time-capsule that is Motovun.

The oval shape layout of the town is surrounded by city walls dating from the Middle Ages. From its location on the top of a hill, you will see a magnificent view of the Mirna River Valley, vast rows of vineyards, and the famous Motovun forest, rich in the widely renowned white truffles. Explore the cobble stoned streets, taste traditional foods, and try gourmet wine surrounded by an unforgettable Istrian landscape.

This vantage point is sure to spark your creativity and refresh your mind.

Artists have long found inspiration in Motovun, where for centuries people have told fairy tales of giants and fairies believed to visit this mystical hill. Today creative minds still meet in the international community that has gathered in this stunningly beautiful medieval town.

We invite you to the magic of Motovun and Camino House.

Camino House is located on the hilltop of Motovun, just outside the town wall in a residential neighborhood with a church next door and views to the valley fields and forest below. The House can accommodate solo travelers, couples, and families in two separate bedrooms. All guests share a vegetarian kitchen, dining room, and outdoor terrace on the ground level. The original structure has been beautifully preserved and renovated with modern conveniences.
